All About Glass

I'm Paula Fedele. My journey as an artist-craftsman began in 1996 with glass beads and precious stones. I took a few classes and created beaded jewelry. After a couple years and several shows, I discovered that everyone was doing the same thing. I was inspired to create something unique.

During a visit with my fiance's elderly aunt, she gave me her childhood collection of sea glass gathered from the shores of Wianno, on Cape Cod. It was stored in old mason jars; and the colors ran together creating the most beautiful mosaic.

tableglassI spread these jewels of the sea out on a table and my mind started reeling. The possibilities! Earrings, necklaces, pendants, bracelets, wine charms, bookmarks, candles!
I could imagine myself wrapping sterling silver around larger pieces and drilling the smaller ones ... creating earrings and bracelets. My favorite glass of wine in a glass adorned with a sea glass wine charm ... delightful!

After incorporating sea glass into my beading business, it quickly became apparent to me that sea glass was my future passion.

fortbraggMy travels now always involve spending several hours at the beach. California, Mexico, St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. Maarten, New England and my own Cape Cod home beaches are now my shopping grounds.
The amount of glass I bring home is only limited by how much I can fit into my suitcase and a shipping box!

glassjarsThe "sea glass room" in my house looks much like a candy shop ... jars and jars of sea glass. Each piece is inspected and sorted by size, perfection and color. Each finished piece is created by hand ... mine ... and you can be sure that I've put my heart and soul into each and every single item.

drillingCustomers have made special requests including several wedding parties. Custom work is by availability and based on my workload and upcoming shows.

Each piece of sea glass is a natural, genuine piece ... I do not use any manufactured sea glass in any of my pieces.

I'd love to see you at an upcoming show or sea glass festival. Be sure to check the Upcoming Events and if you're nearby, stop and visit! Or send me an email!

Off to my next sea glass adventure!
